GymRecycle is a UK business selling and sourcing second-hand fitness and sporting equipment.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on how you use GymRecycle, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, postcode or address, details and photographs of equipment, messages you send us, item requests, transaction information, and collection or delivery information.

3. Why we use your information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries; assess equipment offered to GymRecycle; provide valuations or sourcing responses; arrange purchases, collections, sales and deliveries; process payments; maintain appropriate business records; prevent misuse or fraud; and improve the service.

4. Lawful bases

We generally process information because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract, because it is necessary to perform a contract, because we have a legal obligation, or because we have a legitimate business interest that does not override your rights.

5. Services we use

GymRecycle currently uses third-party providers including:

• Cloudflare for website hosting, domain services and incoming email routing.
• Tally for the Sell Your Equipment and Request an Item forms, including photograph uploads.
• Stripe for payment processing.
• Brevo for authenticated outbound business email.
• Google/Gmail as the working interface used to receive forwarded business email and send authenticated GymRecycle email.

These providers may process personal information in accordance with their own terms and privacy arrangements.

6. Payments

Where you pay through Stripe, payment-card information is handled by Stripe rather than submitted through GymRecycle website forms. GymRecycle may receive transaction details necessary to identify and fulfil the order.

7. Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers where necessary to operate GymRecycle, comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or arrange a service you requested.

8. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Unsuccessful offers, item requests and general enquiries will normally be reviewed for deletion after around 12 months. Transaction and accounting records may need to be retained for longer where required for legal, tax, accounting or dispute purposes.

9. Email communications

If you contact GymRecycle, we may reply from hello@gymrecycle.co.uk or sell@gymrecycle.co.uk. We do not intend to add customers to marketing campaigns merely because they made an enquiry or completed a transaction. If marketing campaigns are introduced later, any required consent or opt-out mechanism will be provided.

10. Cookies and analytics

The site may use technically necessary functionality provided by its hosting or embedded services. If GymRecycle later introduces analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking that requires consent, this notice and the website will be updated accordingly.

11. Your rights

UK data-protection law may give you rights over your personal information, including rights to access, correct or erase information, restrict or object to certain processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office where applicable.
